The PhD theses listed below were supervised
or co-supervised by me. This is clearly indicated in both cases. In all
PhD theses I always ensure they result from research work that is
internationally validated through various publications, and also by an
external rapporteur who is usually an internationally well-known
researcher. This information (the name and affiliation of the

It’s also worthy to note that, within the PhD program in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN, Brazil, the PhD student Frederico Lopes did an internship ("sandwich" format) for 12 months in INESC- ID/Technical University of Lisbon, being supervised by me. The thesis was supervised by Profs. Thais Vasconcelos Batista and Flavia Delicato, from UFRN. The thesis was discussed in October 2011, at UFRN, Brazil, with the title "An Integration Platform Middleware for Ubiquitous Computing".
