Work

Present

I'm currently a Assistant Professor at the (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Intituto Superior Técnico.

Past

Between 1998 and 2011 I was a Teaching Assistant at Instituto Superior Técnico.

During 1998 I was a Teaching Assistant at the Faculdade de Letras of Universidade de Lisboa.

Teaching

I've been teaching courses related to Programming, Distributed systems, networking and computer architecture.

Studies

In December 2011 I concluded my PhD in Computer Science at the Instituto Superior Técnico - Lisbon. The Thesis is entitled New Environments for Parallel Execution and Simulations

In January 2003 I finished my Master Degree in Information Technology and Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico - Lisbon.

Also at Instituto Superior Técnico I graduated on Computer Science and Engineering in September 1997.

Research

I'm a researcher at the Distributed, Parallel and Secure Systems group at the INESC-ID.

Leisure

I teach Aikido ( 合気道 ) at the Dô Clube de Aikido, own a Suzuki Samurai (the ultimate off-road machine:) and have a dog (the Maki).
